Status of my case

The duration of work on cases by the police varies. Some cases are handled quickly but when it is necessary to investigate a case it can take from a few months to a year or longer.

  1. Cases are reported to the police and the police examine the case.

  2. Police are conducting an investigation. The police call for documents that can shed light on the incident, interviews witnesses, defendants and others who can shed light on the case.

  3. After investigation, a decision is made on the charges.

If the police investigation leads to a decision on prosecution in the case, it is transferred to the district attorney.
