Rights regarding personal data protection on social media

Users of social media can have various rights based on data protection laws, which can be useful when protecting personal data protection and the correct treatment of personal data at the media.

In particular, users have the right to access their own personal data and the right to have their personal data corrected or deleted in certain circumstances.

If an individual is in doubt about how to exercise his/her rights under the Data Protection Act to a social media site, he/she can contact the social media site itself and request assistance and guidance.

If the individual is not satisfied with the answers he receives, he/she can submit a formal complaint to the Data Protection Authority.

Here on our website you can find information on individual rights according to data protection law.

It should be kept in mind that the rights of individuals under the data protection legislation are always valid, regardless of whether their personal data is processed on social media or elsewhere.
