Further information: In Skógarlundi, people with support needs are offered services in the form of activity and rehabilitation. The service takes place either before or after noon. There are nine establishments in Skógarlundi and all who come to service go to two establishments each day. The establishments are: Creative work, work training, data destruction, exercise, construction and crafts, computers and switches, sensory stimulation, experiences and communication. All participate in work at all establishments.
The daily schedule in Skógarlundur is presented in graphic form for all who need it. It shows the activities of the day and in what order they are.
The tasks at the facilities are diverse and the service varies according to the needs and wishes of the individuals being served. The service can be to provide minor assistance or guidance to the tasks that are being worked on at any given time, but also the service can include assisting highly disabled individuals with all activities of daily life and finding ways for the individual to be an active participant.
