Risk assessment of trees - seminar at the Green Sector Training Centre

The FSu's Gardening School is presenting a one-day tree risk assessment course on March 20th in Reykir, Ölfus. Instructed by Aaron Shearer, a Land and Forest Iceland expert, the course covers crucial tree condition evaluation and hazard identification. Registration closes March 6th.

The curriculum includes theoretical sessions on:

  • Common tree problems.

  • Tree health and defensive mechanisms.

  • Hazard assessment.

  • Responses to stress, damage, and pruning.

The second section of this course provides practical, hands-on experience covering:

  • Tree risk assessment.

  • Inspection methodologies.

  • The distinction between comprehensive and visual assessments.

  • The development of intervention plans based on assessment findings.

The second part of the course is practical, where you will be able to review.
