New contracts based on the tender took effect on December 1st and subsequently, Iceland Health has published a new information booklet and product list.

The main changes from the previous tender are that now wheelchairs are all together in one contract; previously there was a contract for electric wheelchairs. The number of companies with which Iceland Health contracts has increased from four to seven.

The product list contains a summary of the models for which the Icelandic Health Insurance has contracted to purchase from 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2026.
