Change in monkeypox name to mpox disease

The disease name has been changed and is now mpox. This is done in accordance with World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendations.

A change has been made to the name of the monkeypox disease, which is now called mpox disease. This is done in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The name monkeypox will be used concurrently throughout the year. An update of the international classification of diseases (ICD-10) regarding the name change will be made in Iceland this week.
