In hospital
Admissions centres and various wards within hospitals provide general information and guidance to those who are called in for treatment.
Waiting lists and admissions
Once it is clear that someone needs to be admitted to a hospital or healthcare facility for treatment or surgery, they are placed on the waiting list for the ward in question, except in the case of an emergency admission.
The order of priority for treatment of patients is based first and foremost on medical decisions and, as appropriate, other professional criteria.
