Grants for the Purchase of Zero-Emission Goods and Passenger Vehicles
The Climate and Energy Fund announces grants for the purchase of zero-emission passenger and goods vehicles:
Zero-emission goods vehicles (N2 or N3 at the Icelandic Transport Authority)
Zero-emission passenger vehicles (M2 or M3 at the Icelandic Transport Authority)
Conditions and terms
Grants apply to registered vehicles after January 1, 2025.
Only new vehicles are eligible for grants. Vehicles may not be exported.
Order confirmation shall be submitted no later than 1 month after confirmed agreement.
Vehicles that have already received a grant or a grant commitment are excluded.
Grants cover 33% of the purchase price (excluding VAT).
The maximum grant amounts based on the year of registration and are according to the following reference table from the regulation (1566/2024):
