Fishing ban

Inspectors measure the length of fish and if the percentage of small fish in the catch exceeds a certain limit, the areas are temporarily closed. In that case, the area will be immediately closed for two weeks. Certain areas are also closed during the spawning season to protect spawning fish.

on the Marine SDI there is an overview of the areas where fishing is prohibited, both sudden closures and regulatory closures. Every effort is made to keep all information up to date.
